The Opportunity
I am working with a company who are seeking a Software Engineer - Observability to join their team on a contract basis. This role is crucial to maintaining the health, reliability, and performance of the systems. You'll be hands-on with observability infrastructure, monitoring tools, and automation, enabling teams across the organization to ship faster and more confidently.

What You'll Do

• Design, build, and maintain observability and monitoring infrastructure

• Develop and enhance tools that support performance tracking, alerting, and system visibility

• Collaborate with engineering teams to introduce new observability features

• Write and execute both manual and automated test scripts to ensure system reliability

• Drive improvements in system performance and incident response
  
  

What They are Looking For

• Proven coding experience in production environments (JavaScript, Python, Go, Scala, or similar)

• Scripting experience for automation and operational efficiency

• Solid understanding of testing methodologies, including test automation and TDD

• Hands-on experience with observability tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, Datadog, etc.

• Adaptable, fast learner with a passion for new technologies and continuous improvement
